What it does
A typical day for a language learner involves long periods of sitting passively in front of the computer screen, just to memorize meaningless words or phrases. If you wish to learn a language, this is not the best way to do it. With Drops, the goal is to make learning easier, quicker and more effective than before. By putting all of the learning material in an interface that utilizes graphics, the user can get a feel of what the words they are learning about actually mean. To help users remember vocabulary more efficiently, the interface utilizes images that are linked to a vocabulary item.
By applying the principles of gamification, it allows the user to learn in a way that resembles a game and allows for even those with the lowest language proficiency to master the language in no time. The gamification elements of Drops allows users to be more engaged and interactive when they are learning.
